System Transport has been selected as this year’s hauler for the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree. The West Coast-based company will transport the tree from Six Rivers National Forest in California to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. using a Kenworth T680 Next Generation truck. The tree will be harvested in late October and conclude its cross-country journey in late November. The tree will be decorated with thousands of handmade ornaments created by Californians and will be on display at the Capitol throughout December. System Transport was recommended by Kenworth Truck Company and was selected for its industry reputation on the West Coast.

About The T680 Next Generation
Kenworth Truck Company is in its eighth year as a sponsor of the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree program. The tree will be transported with a specially decaled Kenworth T680 Next Generation with a 76-inch mid-roof sleeper. The T680 Next Generation has a 12.9-liter EPA 2021 PACCAR MX-13 engine available with power ratings ranging from 405 to 510 horsepower (302 to 380 kilowatts). The truck has a narrower hood and grille to cut through the air and A-pillar turning vanes to create less wake next to windows, smoothing airflow around the cab. The T680 also comes with adaptive cruise control and collision mitigation for increased safety.
