Nussbaum Transportation is excited to announce that Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) and CarriersEdge have named Nussbaum one of the top 20 Best Fleets to Drive For of 2019. This is the 5th year IN A ROW that we have received this honor.
This recognition highlights the tremendous efforts of the Nussbaum family: drivers, operations, sales, HR, maintenance, accounting, and everyone in between working together to make Nussbaum a great place to work and a Best Fleet to Drive For.
Earning this recognition is no small feat. It takes the full team, striving together each day with purpose and dedication while holding true to our core values of Honesty, Integrity, Character, Excellence and Benevolence.
According to CarriersEdge and the TCA, to be considered for the Best Fleets program, companies had to receive a nomination from at least one of their company drivers or owner operators. Then fleets were evaluated using a scoring matrix covering a variety of categories, including total compensation, health benefits, performance management, professional development, and career path/advancement opportunities, among other criteria.
The evaluation process is extensive and includes questionnaires, interviews and driver surveys that are conducted by the CarriersEdge staff and by online means.

About Best Fleets to Drive For
Best Fleets to Drive For was launched in the summer of 2008 by CarriersEdge and Truckload Carriers Association and runs through the fall and winter each year. The program identifies trends, shares best practices, and publicly recognizes the for-hire carriers providing the best workplaces for their drivers.
Best Fleets to Drive For is open to any for-hire trucking company operating 10 trucks or more in the US or Canada. Fleets do not have to be members of TCA to participate and there’s no cost to participate. To be considered, fleets must be nominated by a driver or independent contractor currently working with them, then complete the evaluation process within prescribed timelines.
